Quiz Snack

Quiz Snack is a great website for creating surveys, polls, and questionnaires for your class with real time results.  Quiz Snack has been busy since the last time I visited the site and it seems like the they have added some new features.  Most notable is the fact that now all of their embeddable widgets are created using HTML 5 so they will show even on iOS devices.  I also noticed that you can quickly share your polls on social sites like Facebook and Twitter.  Be sure to check out some of the other apps offered by Snack Tools such as Banner Snack which is a quick way to create a

Now What?

Wonder what your students are thinking?  Use Quiz Snack to create a short survey about an upcoming assignment to see if they need more time or ask how they liked the last project assignment.  You can also ask students to complete a poll in class to give you more information about what they know and where they are struggling.

Tablet Quiz

Tablet Quiz is a website which allows you to create a survey or quiz and then turn it into an app for an iOS or Android phone or tablet.  I found creating a quiz on Tablet Quiz very simple and you can even include images, audio and video in your questions.  In one quiz or survey you can have up to 20 multiple choice questions with four answers for each.  Currently the app runs on iOS but not Android although it is in the works.  You can also run it in browsers such as Safari and Chrome which will run apps.  When your app is completed you will receive an e-mail from Tablet Quiz with a download link and code.  You can then send that along to those taking the quiz or survey.

Now What?

This seems like a quick and easy way to create a quiz for students in your classroom if they have access to an mobile device.  Being that the format is multiple choice only...this would have to be used as a quick assessment and not a check for deeper understanding.

Ever wonder what your students are thinking?  More specifically, what they are thinking pertaining to the concepts that you are trying to teach them or about their concerns about an upcoming assessment, etc.  A great way to find the answers to these questions would be to create a quick quiz.  Unfortunately, most of the survey websites require you to pay or are cumbersome to navigate.  Enter Quiz Snack, the fast, easy way to post a quiz or poll on your class website.  Take a second to post a comment about how you use Quiz Snack in your classroom!
