Yummy Math

Yummy Math is a great website for math teachers of all ages.  The premise of the site is to provide teachers with authentic math lessons that are relevant to our world today.  I clicked around the site and found some interesting lessons like a percent calculation lesson based on Lebron James' return to Cleveland or a graphing data lesson based on raking leaves.  This site was developed by two math teachers and provides a .doc file and .pdf file for every lesson.  This could even be an extra credit idea if you would like to give your students the option to choose a lesson and work through it independently.  Be sure to share your ideas in the comments section below if you have had success incorporating Yummy Math into your classroom instruction.
